You should consider changing your user name to Kiddlovestofail.

And if it wasn't for Gerald Henderson going coast to coast for a game winning layup in the final seconds, they would have lost to 15 seed Belmont in the first round a few years ago.

Kiddlovesnets is the kind of person who thinks he knows about basketball because he watches sportscenter.

Let's take a long at what Bill Self has accomplished in the last 14 years.

-14 straight seasons with 23 or more wins. That streak goes across 3 schools, Tulsa, Illinois, and Kansas.
-That also means he's been to 14 straight NCAA tournaments.
-In those 14 seasons, he's won 12 regular season conference Championships. That includes 8 straight with the Kansas Jayhawks. You want some comparison, John Wooden's streak of consecutive conference titles is 9. And iirc the last guy to get 8 consecutive was John Wooden.
-In the last 14 years, the worst he has done in conference play, is finish 2nd.
-In those 14 years, he's won either the regular season Championship, the tournament Championship, or both in 13 out of 14 seasons. The only year he didn't win either was his first year at Kansas.
-He has only lost 4 conference home games at Kansas, and has only lost 7 home games at Kansas. He has more Big 12 Championships than home losses. His home record is 145-7; or the best in the NCAA with a 95% winning percentage

He's been to nine Sweet 16s, including this years.
He's been to seven Elite Eights, including this years.
He's been to two Final Fours, including this years.
And of course, he's won a National Championship.

He is a top 5 coach easily, if his last game against Roy's team didn't prove that then you're as blind as you are stupid. His defensive adjustments held UNC to under 25% shooting for a half, and UNC shot like 2/16 against his triangle and 2 defense. While I won't say he was a great X's and O's guy before he got to Kansas, he's definitely become one. If his team somehow gets to the Final and wins it this year, hands down best coach in the nation.
