Would have enjoyed it more if it was less of Finn time & more of Snoke time instead, love that dude, who the **** is this evil awesomeness, where did he come from all of the sudden/why didnt we know about him earlier, whats his story, who is he, how did he become so powerful, how did he turn Ben/Kylo to the dark side, so many questions, hoped TLJ would answer 1 or 2 of those.. but instead he just shows up, displays some cool power... and dies...

I'm just assuming that Luke is the GOAT still. But if he would've stuck around then Kylo Ren would've got stomped on.

He's not the GOAT because Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Annakin are not dead.
Yoda timed the transition to his luminous form to coincide with a final lesson for Luke who was about to set out on his last quest to become a Jedi. Luke still feared death and had to face his father who had become a symbol of death and fear. His mission was to encounter his father without succumbing to aggression, fear, or anger. Immediately after Yoda's body dissapears Luke sits down for a cozy chat with the luminous form of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan is still perfectly capable of rational thought, interaction, conversation, and influencing the course of the future. The fact that he doesn't occupy a body made out of flesh provides no meaningful way that we can interpret his experience as death. Yoda was teaching Luke an important lesson for a Jedi: Do not fear the death of the body.

At the end of ROTJ Luke says to his father "I wanted to save you" to which his father replies "you already have." At the celebration on Endor we see the luminous forms of Yoda, Obi-Wan and Annakin assembled. Luke has "saved" his father from the crippling fear of death that had made him turn to the dark side. This allows him to transcend the death of his body and express his true form as a luminous being composed of the force. None of the assembled Jedi are dead, and therefore Luke cannot be GOAT.

The movie has some issues but the glaring one is pacing

Too much break neck action from the beginning and failure to build up a proper climax

It was a long movie but when they burn you out with too much action from the get go then have weak/unecissairy storylines getting bounced around...the result is a movie that feels like 3 1/2 hours plus

The movie had its moments but they ultimately get buried under all of the bullshit and fluff

Apparently, Rian Johnson had to cut 40 minutes of the movie to make it reasonable for theater. They will obviously add those scenes back for the dvd release. I can't wait to see that! Whole bunch of extra scenes.. That might answer a lot of our questions such as more information on Snoke and more Luke scenes to help us figure out more about why he lost his way since the burning of his jedi academy by Kylo.
