Default Euroleague Top 16

Here we have the groups for the Top 16:

GROUP D
Panathinaikos
Montepaschi Siena
Efes Pilsen
Partizan Igokea

GROUP E
Lietuvos Rytas
Tau Ceramica
Fenerbahce Ulker
Aris TT Bank

GROUP F
Real Madrid
Maccabi Elite
Zalgiris
Olympiacos

GROUP G
CSKA Moscow
Unicaja
AXA FC Barcelona
Lottomatica Roma

That group G is going to be amazing! Obviously CSKA is above all the others, but the fight for the second spot would be terrific. Can't wait!

I actually think the groups are pretty even. In group D I'm taking Pana and Montepasci. In E, Rytas and Tau. In F, I'm hoping for Zalgiris and Olympiacos, but I think it's nearly impossible. G will be CSKA and Barca

I'm with you in groups D and E. Pana/Siena and Rytas/Tau are above the others. In group F I would take Real Madrid over anyone and probably Maccabi, I see Zalgiris and Olympiakos one step below them. In group G it is clear the first place will be for CSKA, but all the others are very close, Lottomatica and Barça have beaten each other in the regular season and Unicaja already beat Barça in ACB this season. I hardly see a fav.

The Aris group is the weakest although still strong, like any group at this stage would be.
TAU and Lietuvos.
CSKA and Unicaja(unless Barca play their dr jekyl version!)
Madrid and Maccabi
Pana and Montepaschi(Partizan could be a shock here as they are always close to pana and are due a win against them.

First upset so far efes over Pana. Roma improving all the time almost got a great win in Moscow.Tau away to lietuvos by 3! Great start so far.
I wouldn't be atall suprised if Unicaja win in Barcelona tonight. All the games tonight look real close.
Partizan could upset montepaschi too.Its a great competition none of the matches are predictable.

Big surprise that Efes won Panathinaikos... The greek didn't looked so good in Madrid on last game of the regular season, but I thought it was because they were already the 1st seed in their group.

I don'tnow if its good to sack your coach at this stage to replace him with an inexperienced young coach, but it will be good news for a few players like Acker and Vasquez who were struggling with dusko. Acker had his best game for barca today against Valladolid. The guy seems more relaxed.Oh and why the hell did barca sign this Gary neal guy???Its the one position barca don't need anymore players at!Morandais left as soon as acker was fit again,so why sign another 1.93m guard.Barca have Grimau, basile,Acker,Lakovic,Sanchez thats enough guards i think.especially when they play with lakovic and sanchez together a lot.
I think Lakovic will suffer dusko's departure the most.

this is the year of the return of lituanian clubs i think. Zalgiris has been amazing and rytas have also got a chance.I bet one of them will be in the final four.
Another big suprise is Roma's improvement.I think Roma will get through with cska.Unicaja are weak with injuries and barca are weak full stop!

Especially Lietuvos Rytas is the biggest suprise of the Euroleague. Zalgiris Kaunas is the other big suprise. Lottomatica Roma is really good. They won against Unicaja Malaga tonight. Here is the link.

My final 4 predictions(possible to happen):
ZALGIRIS!
Rytas
Barcelona
Tau

Yeah I wish, but it's possible. I'd like to see Zalgiris vs. Rytas in the final, to show the world what Baltic basketball is. I couldn't be any more happy that maccabi lost i can't ****ing stand any teams from israel. I wish Real gets knocked out also, but I think they just about clinched a spot in Quarterfinals. Most of my predictions are looking good except for Olympiacos. At least maccabi won't get out of the group hopefully.

Also Real Madrid won at home against OLympiacos. Giannakis couldn't save Olympiacos.

Real Madrid is facing the best schedule, with the first three at home. If they win the next against Maccabi, they should easily clinch a spot for 1/4 finals. I'm frankly surprised with Zalgiris, anyway. They made a strong game in Madrid and now defeated Maccabi. Good job.
