Default Is there a possiblity that

is there a possiblity that bynum and a first round draft pick could be packaged for a higher pick that would net the lakers someone that could contribute now? i'm not real sharp on the players this year in the draft...

The only players that would help them next season are Durant and Oden. I don't see anyone making your suggested trade for either of those two.

On a related note: I like the skills of that freshman guard out of GTech...Crittendon. 6'5" PG with a handle. future stud. late 1st round pick or maybe 2nd round.

yeah that's kinda the feeling i had but i wasn't really sure..

if phil was more of a fundamentals coach i guess this could be more of a discussion but his way with young players suggests that unless the player can contribute fast he could very well wallow on the bench... this also speaks to how poorly phil though of smush's play and the lakers gaurd situation, for phil to start jordan in the playoffs...lol

Adding another young player will give phil a heart attack and cause Kobe to opt out.

this won't help us at all especially since this isn't the easiest system to get accustomed to.
