Bulls Melo rumors
Carmelo Anthony is still Plan A as the Bulls and the rest of the NBA await to see if the Knicks forward will opt out of his contract. But the Bulls are more active in their pursuit of Kevin Love than initially rumored. Also, don

I don't want LeBron James. Forget him. Maybe before all this crap with the Heat.
Melo would be great. If the Bulls could keep Noah, Taj and Butler.
C: Noah
PF: Taj
SF: 'Melo
SG: Butler
PG: Rose
That lineup would be insane. No weaknesses. They can score, play defense, rebound.

Weakness is 3p shooting. Very clearly, too.
Now as long as some specialists are coming off the bench.. Jimmer, Murphy (if he remembers how to play), etc, I'd be more OK with it.
Fact is, though, Melo is the far and away the most realistic option for our team to become a championship contender. Durant is the best player to add, then Melo, then Lebron. But I'd still like to trade Butler for someone with a much better shot and decent D.

Re: Bulls Melo rumors
I think Jimmy's 3 point shot will be better next year. Not just because he'll have another year of practicing shooting, but because the Bulls will be a better team as a whole next year. Rose's driving will create WAY more open shots than he saw. Plus if we get Carmelo or Love....oooooooooie.
Not too mention Rose is an average three point shooter, and Carmelo is a pretty good 3 point shooter. Adding that to the mix will help a lot.

Re: Bulls Melo rumors
Multiple media outlets reported Sunday that Anthony already has informed the New York Knicks he is opting out of his contract to test free agency. The news comes as no surprise, even though Knicks president Phil Jackson was hoping Anthony would opt in for the final season of his deal, giving the team a chance to carry out its rebuilding plan with him on board.
