Sorry qrich, didnt mean to end your streak of game threads, just didn't see one yet so I figured I start it you could make one and overwrite mine if you want. Anyways...
Gordon practiced a bit yesterday and Camby's ankle was too much so he sat out and only watched film and both are gametime decisions. Kaman is not traveling with the team and is said to be out for 2 weeks so our frontline is going to be extremely shorthanded today. Hopefully Camby feels alot better because Paul Davis and Brian Skinner at center isn't very intimidating.
Didn't see this game as I was at Universal, but box-score whoring, what the hell is up with Baron Davis? 0-6 from three? Are you serious? We choke a 13 point lead in the fourth quarter? Let a couple of scrubs in Bass and Barea combine for 29/8/6? Glad to see Zach had 27/10/3 on 12-17 shooting and Thornton putting together another nice game. Camby was his usual self watching the box-score with 6/15/4 with 2 blocks.
What I mainly want to know is did Baron chuck and choke like he did against the Heat by non-stop shooting, even though we had the lead late?
We shut out Jason Kidd, Dirk was somewhat contained, Randolph is having a monster game, we were rolling on all cylinders, had a 15 pt lead in the 4th and then what happens? Jose Juan Barea starts to penetrate and kill us. Yesterday showed that we can't stop penetration when Camby isn't in the game. Randolph isn't an intimidator defensively and Paul Davis just can't jump. Also at the end when the Mavs switched to a zone, Baron just started chucking up shots. We need to learn to execute against a zone or teams will just start using that against us and this 3-14 record will just keep getting worst and worst.
I only caught the end of the game as well but was outraged to see the Clippers blowing a huge lead as the minutes dwindled away and Zach Randolph remained on the court.
This man is not a defender. If theres one thing in the world every basketball fan knows, that is probably it. What in gods name would you leave Randolph in the game for when you're trying to protect a 13 point lead in the 4th quarter. The man did his work now let him sit and bring someone else in to finish the game defensively dunleavy, jesus ****in christ. i wanted to throw up and punch a window out at the same time last night. god damit.
