However, it also isn't "hating" to question him a bit. You should have to actually carry a burden a bit to be known to be as good of a player as his fans want him to be.

Looking like trash without all time elite help isn't helping him right now.
What did he do in the 17 and 18 finals?

Looked like carrying to me

Feasting off single coverage and wide open looks caused by the Cavs hard doubling the Dingo as soon as he crossed half court

See, that is the problem. Comments like this.

You aren't understanding just how absurd the circumstances are for him. Why do you think he looks like a different player when he isn't playing on a dynasty level team without him?

He's a great player, but you Durant fans often act like the Warriors weren't special before Durant. And that just isn't true.

And when Steph plays and Durant doesn't...they are something like 24-3...and the record is significantly worse when Durant plays and Steph is out.

Sorry, but if you want to climb the all time rankings...winning titles playing alongside a proven championship core isn't the way to do it...

And not looking like a different player when you are out there with still a pretty good team would help as well, but it seems that is too much to ask as well.

Shit, Steph goes down and Durant shows terrible leadership during a game that likely causes a loss...gets into a fight with a teammate...then loses back to back to Mavs and Spurs.

They've lost 4 of 5 iirc and there are team chemistry issues. Like, you want rational people to just ignore this?

I'm just gonna enjoy the Warriors not being a top 3 seed just for a few seconds.

Warriors without KD = are not even better than the Cavs they lost in 2016 and would have lost in 2015 as well if not for Kyrie getting injured this is a fact

And didn't the Warriors basically cruise to the conference finals this year without Curry

Its pretty clear that the Warriors need KD more than they need Curry finals stats speak for itself

Sorry, but only someone completely ignorant on this team and objective measures could utter the bolded.

Nobody is arguing that they are better without KD...just that you are viewing a player in KD...in literally the best circumstances in NBA history for him...in terms of the rules, his team...etc.

And when that goes away...he's still great, but a lot of that shine goes away.

Again, this is the guy that collapsed under the pressure of carrying the Thunder and then joined a 73 win team (his rival in the conference)...

You just need to understand that watching him go against single coverage in the NBA finals when the other team is clearly more afraid of Curry...is inflating his value...because there are like a handful of circumstances in NBA history, if that, that he could enjoy that in.

KD just happened to bitch out and join one of them.
