I know! While being a playmaker!

27.2 PPG for his career vs 24.99 for Kobe while averaging 3 more assists per game!

I was about to say Kobe scored 60 against the Knicks after 31, but then I saw that it happened about 6 months short of his 31st in Feb 2009. For some reason I thought that was the 2010 season when he did that. Time is flying....

Doesn't seem that shocking to me if you apply basic logic.
This ...

Some scrub just dropped 50 the other day.

Kemba, who is admittedly nice, but isn’t drop 60 nice.

It’s the league they’re in right now, this year in particular. The spacing, lack of physicality, no rim protection, ticky tack foul calls, ridiculously high pace and final box scores.

I mean, the ghost of Derrick Rose scored 50 already this season. Against one of the better defensive teams in the league.

So why did Kobe only average 17 ppg on 37% shooting in today’s spaced-modern era? (Post-2015)

I don’t know, did you not see him tear his Achilles’ tendon, probably the worst athletic injury one can have.

In combination with a separated shoulder, and a knee injury in subsequent seasons ...

Add to the fact he was over 34 years old once he fell off. It’s not that difficult to understand.
