Dampier, Perkins and Haywood? No Way. And you put Amare twice, even though he plays pf now that Shaq is there.

My bad on Amare. (I wondered how Sam fell to 21st when he's clearly 20th.)

But, to me, Sam is a 7/7 guy. His incredible number of mistakes each game negate some of the good he does. No one else makes near as many...so it's not apples to apples when comparing head to head.

So Dampier is tie in my book (less minutes; better FG%, etc). Perkins ended the season as a btter player than Sam, IMO. Haywood for sure is better than Sam.

Hence, 20th.

Sammy at center Okafor at Pf. I can't see judging them the same when they play different positions. Even thought both positions are pretty close to the same.

Perkins got a lot of credit for playing well in the playoffs. But he played the ultimate role player. 6/6/1 in 25 mpg is less than spectacular. And ending the season? 3ppg and 5 rpg in April. He's a good player but he's not Sammy. C'mon now...would you think a lineup of Miller/Iggy/Young/Brand/Dampier would be better than Miller/Iggy/Young/Brand/Dalembert? No way. Haywood had a good playoff series against Cleveland. But this was his best season and it was 10/7 year. He's still a scrub. Give Sammy 17th at the least.

Depends what he's being asked to do. What's the '1'? Assists?

Better? No. The same...? Sure.

I'd really, really like to. I just can't. Sam does nothing for me, he really does. I can name 6 bad traits for every one good one he has. And people overrate blocks so much, I'm not even sure that would make my list of 'good ones'.

In all honesty, friggin' Eddie Curry could have made the list if I stretched it. If he played with even 75% energy vs. Sam he'd eat him alive...and has.

Sam's lucky to be at #19 or 20. I wish we were lucky to have him on our squad.

The '1' was blocks. But in all fairness to Sammy its a little unfair. I know there's a bunch of **** he does that pisses off Philly fans. But since we watch him 82 games a year we have him under a microscope. I'm sure Dallas fans can tell us stuff about Dampier or Washington fans can tell us about Haywood that we don't know because we don't get to see them as much. And Eddy Curry is definately better offensively, but he's overweight, unathletic, can't grab a rebound, can't play defense, and seems like he doesn't even like the game. So yeah that'd be a stretch.
