Street races do exist, but you don't have guys racing 40 year old muscle cars against modern super cars.

I'm sure there are actual racers, but I mean is there a legit street racing scene anywhere, where people bring luxury cars and hordes of hot bitches to race each other and do other epic shit, like they portray in the movies. Like if you remember in Tokyo Drift when the white guy and Bow Wow drove to the underground car park and all the Asian chicks were there and the Asian gangsters and they started racing and shit. Is there anything equivalent to this in real life or do these things or places just not happen/exist irl?

street races do exist but not like in the movies. car shows like hot import nights is more like what they depict in the moves without the racing. real street races are kind of lame. its a sausage fest, the only girls that are there are girlfriends that got dragged out by their boyfriends, and the types of guys that go to these races are mostly douche bags. There are always fights happening for whatever reason and people dying from crashes. its not a very bright crowd that gathers as you can assume with people that find driving dangerously fast on a narrow road entertaining and a "lifestyle"
