How good is 38-39 yo Jordan compared to....
37 yo Kobe?
Wizards Jordan: 21/5.9/4.4 .43FG%
2016 Kobe: 16.5/3.5/2.7 .32 FG%
Who do you take?

So an injured 39 years old Jordan was still able to put up 34 points on good efficiency? That settles it, thanks

Damn, pouring salt in those wounds. Bean stans can't stop losing these days. Almost feel bad for them.

We shouldn't forget that Jordan was GOAT (back then, now Lebron is of course). Kobe was good but never Jordan like dominant. Plus Kobe had an achilles injury. can't get much worse than that.

What nagging injuries did Kobe come into the season with numnuts? Mj came into 02 with ****ed up rips and drained knee and tendinitis.

Easily MJ...he was producing / playing much better on both ends and was doing so in a much tougher defensive era.
Not really fair to Kobe because he's obviously just hurt and has been going on 3 years now.
But, Kobe's inability to stay on the court and his dreadful play when he's on it since 13 makes him one of the least valuable players in the league.
MJ was one of the better players in the league during his stint with the Wizards...so really not a fair comparison.

Kobe has only been hurt the pass two games. He came into the season with no injuries. Before Mj injury against the kings (Destroying them by the way)Mj was leading his team to the playoffs. His defense was also wayyyyyyyy better 37 year old Kobe

Quite honestly, that's kind of impressive, considering he had knee surgery on February 27. For a 39-year-old to go under the knife and somehow manage to come back and give it a shot in three weeks is impressive in itself. The fact that he squeezed a 34 point game on 12-22 shooting in just 26 minutes is something else. Apparently the injury was still bad enough for him to call it a season after that Los Angeles game, so it's a little wild.

Agreed...please read my post. It includes a line about MJ playing better on both ends.
I was talking about Kobe pretty much being hurt now since 13...which he has.
