What do you guys think of the 3 year 11 million dollar deal that Johnson just resigned with the Pistons? He's only had one solid game in the NBA and that's when he scored 20 against the Celtics in the last game of the regular season last year. I think he has potential and supposedly we're going to see more of him this year as a back up power foward. I think only time will tell if he was worth that much. I hope that he can give us some solid minutes off the bench this year.
1. amir johnson does have enormous potential
2. resigning him means we have somebody we are teaching the system to, so that in a few years, when all these old guys in our frontcourt are retiring, he can step up and be a starter, or an antonio mcdyess off the bench.
I like to think of Amir as equal to a top 5 lotto pick. Thats a fair salary. And no, he hasn't had only one good game. Look at his stats and every single game he's gotten 20 or more minutes he's got a double double or close.
