I agree. Too much dribbling, not enough motion.

I don't mind letting Curry dribble it up, but let him pass it to Richards and let Curry run off screens.

But Curry should've passed it to Thomas Sander. Kid is WIDE OPEN. Curry has passed that ball when he's been harassed this entire NCAA Tournament and trusted his teammates. He didn't on that possession.

Looks like even the Davidson coach been sipping the Stephen Curry Kool-Aid. Was he expecting Curry to create his own shot? It would be like isolating Reggie Miller 1 on 1 in a last-second shot; totally not his game

I agree, but look at it this way:

it ENSURED that his best player would get the chance to win. and Stephen Curry has some handles. Running him off screens may not have guaranteed Stephen Curry a chance at getting the basketball.

The problem is Curry didn't pass the damn ball to Thomas Sander at the key. He's PASSED it every time whenever somebody was open. This time, he forced it and it was way too late for Richards.

It was a well drawn up play to me. You got your star player with the ball with a chance to make the game winning play, or decision. He's either going to get a shot off the screen, a step to drive, or going to put someone else in position to be wide open. I don't know if Sander is a 3pt shooter or not, but he was far too open to not have made that pass. He would have had time to even put it on the floor a few dribbles, at which point Kansas would have over helped to protect the paint, and likely left someone else back open for a 3.

Not that the play wasn't horrible, but Curry's a much better ballhandler than Reggie, and he didn't see the wide-open Sander because he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head.

I agree. And no, Sander isn't really much of an offensive player, but he's made a few threes this tournament. You gotta ****ing pass it Curry.

i 2nd that. i think if davidson had used curry as a decoy richards could have penetrated.he would have been single covered because theyd worry about curry.and if he wasnt single covered at least they could have got an open shot from somebody instead of a desperation 3 from 2 feet behind an nba line

the biggest mistake they made was to call that time out, they let kansas set up on defense and didn't really get a good play down.

Great effort by Davidson. They should hold their heads up high.

Anyone know if Curry's expected to stay another year? Him and Richards will make a solid combo, plus a few solid freshman and they could be a solid team next year too.
