How cute...an American trying to show his own relevance by down playing other peoples relevance's. Adorable

Well at least I don't have to freeze my ass off with a bunch of rude people. Now I need to get back to planning some golf outings, in December.

I loved it when the 76ers played in the FU Center. The name was just so fitting.

Have to agree with this. As someone who has spent about 2 monthes total in toronto and lived in NYC, I gota say Toronto is nowhere near the city NYC is.

    You are clueless.

Toronto is classified as an Alpha(3rd Tier) world class city. On the same level as Beijing, LA, Madrid, Moscow,etc...
3rd Tier maybe, but "world class" means the city is at the top for tourism, arts, music, economy, safety, transportation, education etc.

Comparing Toronto to NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, etc is just ignorant. If you truly believe Toronto is on par with these cities, you need to go out and see the world.

I don't see why you're so offended by Toronto not being a world class city. I live in Toronto & I'm not afraid to admit that we're not.

I agree that Toronto is probably one of the safest places to raise a family, but just because the city is safe, doesn't mean it's "world class".

Safety is only a small part of the equation found in the first link. Still puts Toronto in the 11-15 range. Whatever anyone says, the cut off line for a city being world class and not world class is purely subjective. Obviously NYC, Tokyo, etc. are more world class. But it's like saying Kevin Garnett isn't a world class bball player simply because Kareem is. Whatever your cut off line is, that's your call, but to point to other cities as the reason why really isn't much of a in depth reason. Know what I'm saying?

    "I can jump really high."

    What's your vert?"

    "38 inches."

"Pshhh, you can barely jump. My vert is 45."

Many people who rate these cities as a living call Toronto world class. From my perspective, that's good enough for me.

PS: Not trying to get into an argument about whether Toronto is great or not. I enjoy spending as much time there as possible. My argument is more centered around the logic that one city can't be world class because another city is better.

Toronto is a World Class City. However, I feel most outsiders are ignorant about the city. I mean, I've seen it called a small market, when it's obviously not. There's so much in this city to explore, the transportation isn't that great but... there's more than enough here to keep every demographic happy.

Just imagine if they voted for the Casino here ?

I was hoping for that casino, but wasn't that informed. Just as a concept it sounded nice to me, I never bothered to research why people were so against it.
