It doesn't say it was passed by Congress, it says it was passed by the House. Kind of a big difference. Additionally, why can't I find a link for this anywhere but on a site that is pasted with "The Obama Deception" advertisements?

I thought when a bill is passed by the House, all that's left is the Senate and President. (which I'm pretty sure both of them will sign off on.)

So essentially the House and Congress are kinda the same thing right?

That's not how I remember the bailout votes working in September. I thought the House (or Congressmen like Ron Paul) would vote first, then the Senate (Senators), and then the President would sign off on it.

I guess I'm wrong though.

What does that have to do with Congress being comprised of the House of Representatives and the Senate? Just because Reps are called "congressmen" doesn't mean they're the only part of Congress.

A senator is a congressman.

A US rep is a congressman.

Votes are held in the house and in the senate.

Congress is comprised of both the house of reps and the senate.

Okay tell me something then, if the House passed HR 1388 (which they did), then what else is left in order for this bill to become law?

What's left in the process?

The thing is the Democrats have control of the House, Senate, and Presidency so basically they can pass literally anything they want.

The Senate votes on it tomorrow, according to that article.

Why are people assuming that civil service = military service?

Why must it be mandatory? You shouldnt have to be forced to do civil service unless you are sentenced it by punishment or a requirement by school.

To be forced to do it by the government seems so controlling and that's not what the US should be about.
