What is your reasoning for this? Because one guy on the team came out and ran his mouth?

I still question the football intelligence of Jones and anyone else who thinks the Jets were just going to find a better QB. Favre is still playing in this league for a reason. The Jets traded for him, for a reason. Because a quality QB is hard to find.

How many does Brett have in the last 10 year?

what he did 10 years ago shouldn't give him the ability to lead the NFL in INTs every year without anyone questioning him...

and he isn't a top 5 QB of all time...and he is NOT the greatest QB in history, there is no arguement for that.

top 10 maybe

-Joe Montana
-John Elway
-Steve Young
-Tom Brady
-Peyton Manning
-Dan Marino

all better no question

-Roger Staubach
-Jonny Unitas
-Troy Aikman
-Terry Bradshaw
-Bart Starr
-Fran Tarkenton

could be seen as better

Did you read the article?...It was much more than one guy

looks like Jones was just the designated spokesman...

Quote:
A veteran Jets player, quoted anonymously by Newsday, described Favre as a "distant" teammate who, when at the Jets' practice facility, spent his downtime away from teammates in an office specially designated for him.

"There was a lot of resentment in the room about him. He never socialized with us, never went to dinner with anyone," the player told Newsday.

In what possible way will Dan Marion ever be better than Brett Farve?

Yeah, they're both listed as "anonymous". For all we know it was Jones being interviewed more than once. It doesn't really prove anything.

The one guy they did quote "Rhodes" said he was fine with Favre coming back as long as he's willing to put the work in like everyone else.

And yes, contrary to what you want people to believe in this thread, Favre most definitely takes accountability for his own poor play. You can see it in the post game interviews. The difference is, he keeps on trying.

Mathius
Who cares if he "takes accountability" for playing like **** when he's still playing like ****? "Well, we blew our playoff shot while I lead the league in interceptions, so no one is going to get a shot at a title this year or any playoff money, but I want you all to know that I hold myself fully responsible." Big ****ing deal. Either he needs to play better or they need a better quarterback.

I care a great deal since I have to watch Braylon Edwards drop 7 passes in one game, get credited for only 4 drops, and then still say he didn't think he had that many and we have to play better as a team.

Accountability makes a big difference to me.

And complaining about Favre's INT's is about as stupid as anything I can think of. He's ALWAYS thrown a lot of INT's. ALWAYS. You should have known that before he ever put the jersey on. It's a given. He still finished with a 62% completion rate, an 80 something QB rating, and 22 TD's which is still better than a lot of QB's in the league.

And again, for the 100th time in this thread, who were the Jets going to get that was better? Favre was still their best option no matter what you believe.
