How tall is Jameer Nelson really?
He's not 6'0''
Sorry for the random question but this has been bugging me for the longest.

If you cross him fast enough, you won't break his ankles but his neck

It's kinda weird. Nelson have 2 draft measurements. He was measured at 5'10" in 2003. He was later measured at 5'11" in 2004.

Re: How tall is Jameer Nelson really?
Anybody know why they have to lie about players height?
It's not pro wrestling, the NBA doesn't need to hype up a gimmick or anything like the WWE does.

I remember before the start of the 2008 NBA draft everyone was saying Michael beasley was like 7'0 with shoots and 6'11 w/o them. Then the measurements came and he was listed as 6'8.5 with shoes and 6'7 w/o them : lol
I think that also hurt his draft stock

It's always been done in basketball, but they aren't lying by a lot at all in this case. Nelson was measured at 5'11" in 2004 w/o shoes, 6'0" with shoes. I can't think of a way he could cheat when getting measured at the combine to be an inch or two taller than he really is.
At worst, he's a legit 5'10" w/o shoes which would still put him close to 6'0" in shoes.

So all(or most of) the players height are listed with shoes then? I wasn't aware of that, I always thought it was without shoes.
I'm not sure why it should matter. If they're all measured without shoes, it would still be same difference in length. Using the two PF/C Utah players as example:
Millsap is listed 6'8, without shoes he's probably 6'6/6'7ish
Jefferson is listed 6'10, but w/o shoes he's probably 6'8/6'9ish
Millsap would still be two inches shorter than Jefferson, with shoe or without shoes.
I hope I made sense there...LOL
