Default Come to think about it, Joakim Noah is a key factor to Bulls success/failure

Last year, people were saying the Bulls were done after losing Derrick Rose. Without Rose they sure wouldnt stand a chance against the Heat, but reality is that was not enough to knock them out against a shitty 8th seed Philadelphia 76ers. Id still take Rose-less Bulls over the Celtics seven games if they made it to 2nd round. People remembered very well they had a meltdown in game 2, but in game 3 they actually bounced back and took control. It was early in 2nd half that Noah was injured, and they gave up a big lead to lose to the 76ers in game 3. This was the turning point of their season, the Bulls could not do anything in that series losing both Rose and Noah. Without Noah, even the 76ers could beat the Bulls.

Now this is further confirmed by the Bulls success in this season. They did not have Derrick Rose for an entire season, but had Noah back for playoffs. Even a 50% Noah is enough to lead the Bulls to a 1st round victory and hang tight against Champion Heat. I think its about time to give Noah the credits he deserves. Sure he has a cocky personality, its impossible to like him unless you are a Bulls fan, but hes a good player and his impact is enormous for his team.

I love Noah and I'm not a Bulls fan. I only dislike him when he plays against the Knicks, just like I dislike any other NBA player when they're playing against my team.

Yea I like Noah. Those guys are essential to winning in most cases. Doing what he does is as valuable as being a superstar, seriously.

Too bad people don't see it.

Noah is one of the best big men on the game.. period.

-Elite rebounder
-Elite defender
-Elite shot blocker
-Elite passer for a big man
-Plays with 100% effort
-High IQ

I can't think of many Centers (or PFs), I'd rather have.

Of centers...
M.Gasol - about even if you ask me
Dwight - no idea if he'll go back to his old form and get his head on straight
Duncan - great player about done

Of power forwards...
Dirk - about done
Bosh - a jump shooting big man that doesn't block shots or rebound
Love - injury riddled, poor defender
Griffin - hasn't grown much as a player, doesn't play D
LMA - IMO the best PF , but still doesn't rebound well or block shots

What big men are there better than Noah?

Just because he's not a high scoring perimeter player doesn't mean he's not a real superstar.

OP just figured this out, huh? VERY astute.

Noah has a unique skill set, plays with tremendous intensity on both ends, and is acknowledged as the leader in that locker room, regardless who is injured. He's been the backbone of the Bulls' success for4 the last few seasons.

It's a shame that some so-called fans of the game don't recognize anything other than those players whose individual offensive skills make them permanent fixtures on ESPN. Games aren't won on Sportscenter.

So would you call him the best big man in the game?
A superstar?
