We were winning so we conveniently forgot he sucks.
I'm pretty sure D'Antoni will be gone if we don't make it out of 1st round.

I am scared they will find another excuse for him to be brought back.

Dolan needs us to be a championship caliber team to make bigger profit.

Last year making the playoffs was enough for fans to go wild because we sucked for a long time.
Now the fans don't want just to get into the playoffs, they want to win a round or two at least.

If we don't get past the 1st round this season D'Antoni will be gone.

We've been top 10 in attendance for over a decade. Last year,it was reported that we are the ost valuable franchise in the NBA. I doubt Dolan cares that much.

It's not all about attendance.
He'll get more money if the Knicks do good and the fact that he has earned a lot so far means that he's the one who really cares about even the slightest increase.

The more money you have you're greedier.
Many examples for that.

But let's talk about attendance.
Did anyone notice that the Garden crowd is really poor this season ?
Except for the Christmas season opener against the Celtics they have been really silent.
It's like watching a funeral.

Is that because the team plays poor or because the ticket price increased. Maybe both ?

Knicks fans in general are pretty shitty. We're the epitome of tempestuous, entitled, frontrunning assholes.

Especially me.

Well, everyone is shooting a lot worse than they should be, part of that is that the offensive execution hasn't been good, but I don't see how the following things will continue.

Melo shooting 43%
Amare averaging 18 on 42% shooting
Shumpert shooting 37%
Toney Douglas shooting 33% on 24% on 3s.

I just can't see that continuing regardless. I don't mean to group Melo with them either because I think he's been playing well all around before that injury, his shots will fall more frequently.

I'm also worried that on talent alone the team will have enough success to keep D'Antoni. Ideally, he's gone regardless. He's been exposed as a coach whose offense is even overrated. He relies on a great point guard, and there isn't one on the roster. He can't make the most out of this talent. Phil would be ideal if he really does return to coaching especially since he's never had a true point guard.

They make money hand over foot. Its not about championships for Dolan because the Knicks sell out regardless. As long as the Knicks are reasonably competitive he makes money. Melo and Stat are the cash cows by shear name regardless of what happens on the court. This is how Dolan operates.

As long as fans are in the building at his ticket prices he makes a profit.

This is why the Knicks have never benefited from losing. The illusions of success instead of actual success. Makes them money.
