I was able to get my G27 wheel on Amazon for $230 w/ free shipping. That's only $80 more than the GT Driving Force, and you get a clutch and detachable 6-speed shifter.

I am really considering getting a wheel for when this game comes out.

I've been looking for stands and there seems to be a consensus on the internet that this place http://www.wheelstandpro.com/ makes really good ones. Anyone have an experience with these? My setup would be on hardwood so would I have to do jam something behind to stop it from sliding?

I might throw a part of my work bonus in December on a wheel + stand.

Oh man that looks sweet. I don't have enough room for the full chair + wheel setup but this would be nice and easy to put away.

$500+ for it all though. Goddamn.

Yea I'm sure you can slap together a makeshift stand out of something or use a tray. But I wouldn't mind splurging on a good metal adjustable stand (and wheel) since it's probably a game that will last for years and hopefully this would be compatible for future versions as well.
