I don't know about that. If Iverson can learn to play with Hamilton, Detroit is going to be dangerous.

Yup, and I don't think its going to be hard as people think it is. AI and Rip won't get in the way of each other like AI and Melo did. AI is someone that scores by dominating the ball and getting his shots, while Rip scores by moving without the ball to get his shots. If AI can just tone down on the shot attempts, which he already has so far this season, they can be a lethal duo.

The Pistons needed a scorer on offense. They always have. They got away with their deficiency by playing great defense, but it was always there.

The only question is how much the defense suffers by having Iverson out there. I'd contend that it doesn't get hurt too badly, simply because Chauncey's ability to stay in front of quick players is gone at this point in his career. So against many PGs, Chauncey vs. AI is a wash. However, Chauncey is a beast, and can still muscle big PGs. But against both Cleveland and Boston's points...AI is a much better matchup IMO. Should be interesting.

Not really fair to throw that comparison out there. They play 2 completely different games and Chauncy has been in a system where team ball is stressed. Billups is more of a leader than AI has ever been and is more of a true pg than AI. So really, stats are meaningless in this comparison. One could argue that Billups impact to the Pistons has been greater than AI's impact in Denver.

this will be interesting. Detroit plays defense and has some other weapons for AI to defer to..... comes down to their coaching but I think this could very good move for detroit...

You cant say bad trade for Detroit when you know damn well AI is not resigning there. $21mil off the books no matter what Detroit does/doesnt do this season. Unless you are convinced not making this trade Detroit would win the NBA finals. Otherwise? Detroit had to shake up this roster, make a move. Joe Dumars saw a chance to get a player to still make them competitive and tough in the East but more importantly? Cap space for bigger/brighter things. Not mad at that. You guys dislike for AI so much you cant even see the trade for what the hell it is. What AI do to you? Pass you up? Ha
