LMA has turned into an All-NBA level defender

His offensive stats are way down from last year as she's shutting much less (he'll probably raise his stats as the season progresses to 17 or 18 PPG.) but LMA is currently playing much better defense than he did in Portland and even then he was a very reliable player on that end of the floor. The person he's guarding seems to be struggling every time I watch a Spurs game (almost all of them) and he's been a very reliable help defender and rim protector with his length. The stats back it up too. Duncan, Leonard and Aldridge all deserve All-Defensive honors

The Spurs possibly have the best defense in the league and in my mind are the 2nd favorite behind the Warriors - and as shown in the past it's very likely that the Spurs won't peak until spring.

He was always an active defender. Having Duncan be the anchor he can lean on and having an all nba/dpoy guy at the 3 makes his job so much easier.

He's always been a good defender when he is on the ball its switching pick and rolls + help defense and all that shit that bothers him. he's been locking his man up 1 v 1. this is nothing new

You do know he's always been a good defender right? A lot of draft sites were talking more about his defense than offense. Didn't he win defensive player of the year award in college? Or an all defensive team selection?

He has great hands. Like Karl Malone when he used to slap the ball away from his man. His weakness is shot blocking. He should block way more shots.

Any other Spurs fan more excited about this than ANYTHING? Like I said in some previous thread that I should of bookmarked, he's going to be a top player in this league in no more than 5 years.
