I also don't think what Joe Biden did to push out the corrupt district attorney in Ukraine (or whatever position he held) was illegal at all. It was a part of Obama administration official policy along with EU. Obama just needs to come out and say Biden went to have the Ukraine DA fired under his official administration policy, which was also supported by the EU. That's it. Kill another myth being propagated by some Republicans.

Who's going to look into that, when by the laws written by the politicians themselves say it isn't illegal?

That's why Joe Biden keeps doing the typical lie defense: "No one is saying my son did anything wrong" as in legal vs illegal. A normal person would just say "my son did nothing wrong", without referring to what others say.

The way you write your post shows exactly how they want you to think about it. Hunter Biden being on a board of a company is by itself not illegal, and Joe Biden holding aid is by itself not illegal.
So if people refuse to connect the dots, nothing wrong happened.

But it did happen, a government was violently overturned with help from outside interests. A new government was inserted and this government allowed Burisma to keep existing the way it had been with the contracts that the CEO of the company had given to Burisma himself when he was a minister.
This took place because the US said it needed to, while Hunter and other US people were inserted on to the board for payments. The next steps were for the company to expand operations in foreign countries(they were having meetings with officials from Kazakhstan), but while using US technology which was now all of the sudden a part of it as part of the pay to play scheme.

Why else do you think no one can give one single actual reason of skill or smarts for Hunter Biden being on that board, instead of just defending him and saying that what he did wasn't illegal?

What Biden threatened to hold up was a loan guarantee, not Congressional earmarked aid money. It was also under Obama administration US policy. What Trump did was for personal gain (not part of US policy and concealed from Congress/other agencies) and it was Congressional approved aid he blocked. Night and day.

We know that Hunter was put on the board around the same time Biden got sent to Ukraine by Obama. Hunter probably could have refused the board position to simplify everything for his dad, but it's still not illegal or unethical for a family member to be on board of foreign company.

The only way it would be illegal is if Joe Biden made it a prerequisite to have Hunter on board alongside the DA's firing. If that can be proved with witnesses in Ukraine government/Burisma or documents then Trump would look good. Rudy, Nunes, Parnas, Fruman have been trying for a year. They have not found anything or haven't made it public. I doubt it's the latter because they would be waving it right about now.

Finally, Hunter Biden is a lawyer, who graduated with law degree from Yale. Republicans make it sound like he is some uneducated drunkard He was also appointed by President Bush to the board of Amtrak, where he was the vice chairman for 3yrs. He started couple of his own investment firms. You are falling for Republican nonsense speak of Biden not having any skills or intelligence

Yup, Obama administration officials have come out and said that Biden's stance was official administration policy. The reason Biden could tell the Ukrainians to go ahead and call the White House when they questiooned his authority regarding the aid is because he was carrying out the administration's policy and had the full backing of the White House. I know certain Republicans need to play their role and pretend that they are outraged with Biden's ultimatum, but even certain Republicans sent a letter to Ukraine advocating for reforms in the chief prosecutor's office.

If the Trump administration thinks the Bidens were up to something, they should have followed official, legal processes by initiating an investigation through the Department of Justice. Barr had an interview today where he says that he had absolutely nothing to do with the investigations the administration was pushing the Ukrainians to announce, and he has said before that he was smart to stay away from the whole thing.

And apparently, other than the obvious star power of his name, Hunter Biden provided advice on corporate finance and strategy to Burisma... actual ares of proficiency for him.

And yes, Biden was appointed to the Amtrak board by GWB back in the mid 2000s, and was confirmed for that position by a Republican controlled Senate. He held that board position for 3 years.

He must be holding out hope that Rudy's Biden documentary will hit so hard that the House will cancel the whole thing. There's still time.

The phone logs indicate Nunes and Giuliani spoke briefly three times and texted once on April 10. It also shows numerous attempts at contact between Parnas and Nunes on April 12, including an eight-minute phone call.

The metadata - which only show phone numbers and durations of calls, not the substance of the calls or texts - raises serious questions about why Nunes was in frequent contact, at conspicuous times, with individuals who were part of a shadow campaign to pressure Ukraine to investigate one of Trump's key political rivals, former Vice President Joe Biden.

Republicans continue to attack Democrats for cross-reference with the number of Trump's b!tch aka Nunes, but they don't wonder why Nunes was in constant contact with Rudy and also Parnas?

In a vacuum, it's a good strategy. They don't want to talk about Nunes, but they know they have to blunt the story early, so they're intent on doing everything they can to muddle and shift the focus of the scandal... including these ridiculous recriminations they're pursing. In a few weeks, they want to be able to say, "Nunes' calls and meetings are old news... we've already addressed them and the American people have shown that they don't care about them."

It's not going to work; not on this one. There will likely be an ethics investigation.
