Default Griffin's Season Is Over

Quote:
After experiencing some discomfort during his recently-accelerated rehabilitation program, Clippers’ forward Blake Griffin was examined Tuesday afternoon by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.

As a result of that examination, it has been determined that the healing in his left patella area has not improved to the expected required level. Griffin will undergo a surgical procedure in the near future, with a recovery prognosis of four to six months. Team personnel will be made available to the media. Further details will be made available as events develop.

Heh, I've long since learned not to get my hopes up with the Clippers. Still... I was getting pretty excited to see Griffin debut.

When I look at this clippers roster, they have good role players.

They should trade Griffin while his value is sky high and try to get a superstar in return with a package of Griffin + Camby.

They already have Kaman and Deandre, both very solid centers.

They could afford to do something like that.

I disagree. This guy has loads of potential. He was balling in the summer and in the pre season. I think you have to at least give him a go. His value is not exactly sky high right now anyways.

Clippers still have a shot at the 8th seed. They may as well play out this year with Camby bc he is playing exceptionally well.

The Clippers should take a dive and get a lottery pick...then Griff comes back next year with a deeper Clippers team.......that's how SA got Tim Duncan.

I will never ever be in favor of a team purposely tanking. Its unfair to the players, and its unfair to the fans. Plus, they have to build on the chemistry they are finally getting between their core. Baron and Kaman look very good together, and Eric Gordon is coming along nicely. You want to teach the team to always give it their all and show them that you are intent in being the best you can be. With Griffin back next year, they will have a nice core in him, Baron, Kaman and Gordon

I'm just saying....If San Antonio hadn't done it they would never have won any championships.

I hope Griffin comes back 100%, I remember when this happened to Danny Manning and he was never the same player who single handedly won a NCAA championship.

David Robinson played 6 games that season, and their team as a whole was pure garbage. Their best players were an old Dominique Wilkins and Sean Elliot. I dont think they tanked, they simply were a garbage team and got lucky to nab the #1 pick.

But I agree, hope he comes back 100%. Danny Manning was a total beast in college, he had a decent career, but much more was expected.
