I lived in San Antonio for six years while growing up. Really nice city. Has a very small-town atmosphere, even though its actually like the 9th largest city in the country. Everyone there is just passionate about Texas and San Antonio, and don't even get me started about the Spurs down there.
Definitely a great place to visit for the weekend. Check out the Alamo, Riverwalk and of course, gotta catch a Spurs game, lol. And also enjoy the huge Mexican influence in the city. The Spanish and Mexican influence is absolutely huge in San Antonio (obviously since its only a couple hours from the border). Mexican music, mexican food, everyone speaking spanish and of course, the hot latinas. San Antonio does have some fine Mexican women that you're gonna love.
The only thing I can knock about San Antonio is that the actual downtown is a tad small compared to other big cities. A lot of San Antonio itself is spread out and open land, but the influence on everything I have said is still huge.
