Default off hand when shooting

where do you personally put your off hand on the ball when you shoot? do you think about it at all? and at what point do you suggest making the shot fully oone handed?

i usually use my offhand whenever i cannot use my left. (im a lefty)

I used to think about when to use my offhand, but now i guess it just comes naturally.

To improve, just keep using your off hand in everything, not only in basketball.

if you are right handed then put your left hand on the left side of the ball. Also make sure that the left hadn does not touch the ball as your arm is strokin the shot. That will affect a lot. However, if you want to get better at shooting, it ALL about repetition. Do the same way EVERY SINGLE TIME.

He means when you shoot where do you put your offhand.

when you're shooting, the offhand is just to support the ball, not to be used in shooting it.

oh, i didn't really understand it at the start.

I was thinking it was something along them lines, but then i thought this should come naturally to all players.

Do you guys use your offhand to guide the ball at all or do you basically shoot one handed with offhand as support?

The second one man..... Shoot one handed with offhand as support. Just go watch some nba videos on NBA.com and then watch the good shooters. Look at their form. Then find your own form with experimentation and then practice day in and day out and then you'll dominate everyone.....
