Interesting Stat

Like I was saying in the last post, we can turn this around fast. I was reading this today too. Obviously, our roster has holes. We've had even more with all the injuries. Check out this:

The Pistons have had their full roster for only 11 games this season because of injury. In those games they are 7-4. Players have missed 138 games combined because of injury. Last night, Richard Hamilton (sprained ankle), Jason Maxiell (back strain) and Chris Wilcox (strained left hamstring) were all out.

I look at the injuries as a blessing in disguise. We weren't going to be contenders this year. A lottery pick helps us a lot. We would have won more games with a full roster and been just mediocre than bad (I've said all along it was a mediocre team). With a mediocre pick we wouldn't have a potential game changer. I don't want to be the team fighting for the last playoff spot. This could be a good thing for us, in the long run.

This is the part that sucks though....

The Pistons have a 5.3% chance of getting the No. 1 pick and an 18.3% chance at a top-five pick, based on the fact they lost a tiebreaker for the sixth spot with Philadelphia, dropping them to seventh in the draft lottery. . A big man the team may have to consider drafting is Georgetown's Greg Monroe, a 6-foot-11 sophomore who declared for the draft and said Saturday he had hired an agent. Detroit Free Press

Man, I really wish we didn't win all those games at the end of the season. That just killed our chances...
