Well, the Ron Artest rumor is out there now. They would have to give up Prince for him, they play the same spot. We know Ron wouldn't want to go somewhere that he couldn't start at.

I had just heard of these rumors recently too.
Only way Artest comes to Detroit is if he starts… Which is fine by me.
Artest may be known in recent years for his defense, but the guy can put points on the board too!

Having Artest on the team will help out our offense for sure as well as keeping our defensive identity.

Ron Artest after the brawl? I love his game but him and sheed might be too much insanity.

Insane players have always had a way of fitting in at Detroit. Rodman, Sheed, even Isiah is still loved in Detroit and we all know how crazy he is now even if he wasn't then. I love Princes game but Artest is an upgrade talent wise. Artest will mess Pierce up.

Besides, I never blamed Artest for the brawl. Those fans in the stands deserved to get their butts kicked. If you have the balls to throw a drink at a player on the court, you should have the balls to take a punch from them. If somebody throws a drink at me in the bar, I would punch them and I think a lot of us would too. Does that make us crazy?

Brawl?

That mess was four years ago and everyone has moved on. Even Pacer fans and Pistons fans are cool with each other.

When there is a chance to bring in a talent like Ron Artest, I would hope the organization would do what it can within reason to make it happen.

I cheer and support ANYONE who will dawn the Pistons jersey!

The question remains… IF Artest were to land in Detroit, what number would he wear on his jersey?

Who can you trade him for? What 7 footer do you get in return?

His value will likely increase by the trade deadline as his contract is an expiring one…

but whom would we receive in return? Will depend on where the team stands by the all-star break if we make a move like that probably…

That lies the problem, who can we get for him and is it possible to equal value back?

It looks like McGrady was never healthy. Those rumors can be put to rest (not that they weren't).

he Houston Rockets, buzzing about the arrival of Ron Artest, already have injury concerns with Tracy McGrady. Houston's leading scorer said Monday that his left shoulder is arthritic and will require surgery after this season. He also said his left knee is healing slower than expected from surgery in the spring. AP/Washington Post

McGrady sprained his shoulder against Sacramento on March 24, and wore padding to protect it for the rest of the season. He had surgery in May to clear loose tissue in his shoulder and knee. He said his knee is "probably 75-80 percent" healthy and will take another two months to fully heal. AP/Washington Post

McGrady said the shoulder injury was not going to keep him out of practices or games, but added that, "it's going to bother me." AP/Washington Post
