Default Went to the USA Game...

I gotta say, I know Durant will eventually be a Laker as there's NO WAY OKC could ever contain the star power this kid has and or will have in the future but as a lifetime Bulls fan it was just plain GROSS (in a good way) watching him and Rose on the same team and I can only hope and pray that one day that kid comes our way. Yuuuuuuugh

I think Durant actually wants to stay in OKC, and I'm not sayin that because of the 5 year extension only. But just everything he's ever said about it, he's always been like I love this place it fits my quiet demeanor. and it's not like he vies for attention in the media or anything. And in the smallest market in the US he signed a 5 year deal. That says something plus there he can pretty well manage his popularity I mean no one's going out of their way to go there. But the dude was sick yesterday 28 points?

Kevin Durant is the type of player that everything about him says he will remain with the same team throughout his career. I think the extension is a big first sign of that. If he had any little doubt about remaining there he would have signed a 3 year extension opposed to a 5 year extension. He loves his teamattes, his coach, the fans, and the small town feel. He's going to make his money regardless. He's one of the humble athletes we're ever going to witness. He could be in tons of commercials, tons of advertisements, and have lots and lots of endorsement deals and sponsors... why doesn't he? Because he chooses not to. Only way he leaves is if that organization turns there back on him and starts letting good players walk away from there. If they stay loyal to him (why wouldn't they?) and resign all his top teamattes then he's definately staying there. Him, Westbrook, Green, Harden, Ibaka, Sefolosha, Aldrich, Mullens and Maynor is a very nice young core. They just picked up Cook and Peterson in the offseason to add to that. They will resign guys and keep guys around Durant and he'll have no reason to leave. The money will be there, the winning will be there, and the city and fans fit his personality perfectly.
