He's not going to get any more than 1 game, due to it not escalating.

I'm just saying....he technically missed. Derozan didn't even know it happened.
There was obvious malice in that attempted elbow. It's a matter of intent and the according evidence in this situation. Ariza attempted to strike DeRozan with that swing. Have the Knicks attempted to trade Eddy Curry?

Just because you failed doesn't mean you didn't try.

Ariza was already punished. He was ejected from the game for not hitting Derozan.

I'm just playing devils advocate. He probably will get 1 game I'm guessing. I just think the NBA is starting to go overboard with suspensions. They are control freaks.....
The analogy is only to demonstrate that it's possible to get in trouble for attempted maliciousness. I don't know if in social situations there are legal repercussions for throwing a punch, but the idea is that just because something is attempted and not successful, doesn't make it immune to punishment.

You're right, he's obviously a terrible, malicious human being. Forget suspension, such a menace to society should be jailed. Oh, and that dude Michael Jordan, he punched his teammate out during practice. Pretty sure that means he's Satan.

Ariza is my boy but wow, there's no room for that in basketball.

Reading comprehension problems? People say that he's a super nice kid (at least 3-4 time in this thread) and such behavior is totally out of character but there is no 'super nice kid' that will throw an elbow like that out of frustration. Hard foul? Sure. But an elbow to the back of somebody's head fully winded up?

Your attempts at sarcasm do not impress anyone.
