Default When its said and done...

Kobe will be top 3 in most points scored in NBA history.

Think of it. Great conditioned played usually play until 38, and he can probably play until 40.

Assuming he plays until that age he will give 25+ ppg for most of these seasons.

I think he can do it!!! maybe even be the number 1 if he scored enough.

What do you guys think? hes half way done

I think he can do it but I dont wanna jinx him. he has played in more games than any other player at age 28. but that would be a dream come true having him up there and not to mention, even enter top 10..or top 3 of all time. he needs more rings and indiviual accolades for that

best thing is that he doesnt rely on his athletcim and getting to the rim so much because he has perfected that jump shot which will allow him to play longer and be effective. hopefully, he stays healthy

Its highly unlikely that he would get into the top 3.

He would essentially have to double his current point total of about 16 thousand to get past Jordan's 32K. Might take him another 10 years of great basketball for him to get close to that.

While I certainly cannot predict the future, I would tend to agree with mavsfan....

Not as a dis to Kobe, but as I have mentioned before, he has a lot of miles on him for such a young car. So, to see him play another 5-10 years seems unimaginable. It will all depend on how his body holds up and his desire to keep playing.

But most players don't start playing pro ball at the age of 18. He will break down before the age of 40. He will probably play 15 seasons at the most. Somewhere around age 33-34 he will retire. He def wont be putting up 25 points a game at age 32. He will start to see a huge decline in about 4 years from now.

Kobe will play till he's 36-37. He'll still put up big numbers at age 32 contrary to what you think because he doesn't rely solely on his athleticism like some other swingmen, he's got all the fundamentals down and has a great jumpshot, he'll still put up 25+ at age 32-33, guaranteed.

So you are saying that he will have about 20 years in the league? wow, i wonder if that will hold true... damn, thats a long time to live that NBA lifestyle!

Kobe is a fierce competitor, and as I said, players like him and Duncan (although different positions) will play past the age of 35 because they are not all about athleticism, they can contribute a lot to their teams way past their physical primes. Also Kobe has the best work ethic in the NBA and keeps himself in as good a shape as anybody, I don't see his body breaking down anytime soon.

That STILL wouldn't be enough for him to get into the top 3. He would have to average almost 28 pts a game over the next 7 years to get right around MJ.

Not likely.

I think he might crack top 8.

I envision him averaging 20 + at the age of 32 and more.
