Lebron's been getting away with traveling for years. Technically guys travel all the time..palming violations.

I know to some people it looks like a travel, because they have a sort of robotic comprehension of the rule, but I saw the videos and they were not travels.

Good that you don't have that comprehension of the rule, so you cannot see travels now.

I can see travels, but some people don't know what a travel is. They don't even know the concept of a gather step.

Some people have clearly never watched tape of themselves.
Have you ever seen yourself do a layup at high speed and then slow mo? Its not a travel, its a gather step, and depending on the stride and the amount you push up the ball while dribbling, you're allowed to take as many steps in between your dribbles as you want.
In fact, a lot of hesitation dribbles involve taking a lot of steps in between a dribble to throw off your opponent. Same thing with this.
Most of you don't realize it, but if you recorded yourself doing a layup while going flat out, then watched it in slow mo, it'd look like a travel.
