He does this over here and he goes straight to jail.

Youre too stupid to understand why the situations arent the same.
Well seeing as you're so intelligent can you explain why the NFL has legal liability over a player fighting a fan off the field that they don't have when a player rapes a woman?

People have threatened physical violence on this forum. Happens all the time. Never been prosecuted. Because Whiteside is a public figure it is more serious but he is threatening someone whose identity he doesn't know so it doesn't rise to the level of being a true threat. The police of whatever state Whiteside was in when he made the threat would be going far out of their way for a weak case. The only real victim is Whiteside, who is a victim of his own stupidity and now doesn't have a team.

You serious?

Because they're not increasing the likelyhood of him raping a woman by giving him a job in the NFL.

If they know he may be prone to reacting violently to fan provocation, then giving him a job in the NFL kind of increases the likelyhood of being provoked by NFL fans and thus potentially a violent result.

You can follow that, right?

Just to add to this...

Antonio Brown is one of the best receivers of all time.

Whitehead is a below average CB.

No team will EVER even consider signing this dude.

The NFL churns our headcase after headcase. This league canít get shut down fast enough.

And again: where is there any kind of legal liability? Since when are employers held responsible for employees fighting after hours? If a mechanic shop hires a mechanic that they know has fought in bars (which would be more than Whitehead has done) do they get sued when he starts a fight in a bar? Surely with your legal expertise you can reference the law in some way to make your point instead of just guessing that it "kind of increases the likelihood." You are attempting to discuss the law without referencing anything in the legal code. Not much of an argument here.

In reality Whitehead was cut because he's expendable. A non-star coming off a bad game that was creating bad press. Perfect guy to make an example out of. Joe Mixon is on video knocking out a woman, still playing. Because he's viewed as a talent.
