I'm an NBA vet at 21.
If you think you're old, than I am a Jurassic Park dinosaur, although I was not around when the Aztecs would play for a single basket to the death or when Naismith hung up a peach basket one winter day in Springfield, I do remember the epic battles between Russell and Chamberlain-still in Philly, I remember 3 to make 2 shooting penalties, I recall force outs and even 1-shot non-shooting fouls, I recall when players would have jobs in the off-season, I remember the innovations of the ABA forcing the merger and the NBA to "modernize", I lived a 33 consecutive win streak and the first L A championship, I recall seeing the playoffs late at night on a delayed basis, I remember 2 ex-Bruin centers and their involvements in 2 historic occurences-one in Washington Dee Cee and another concerning Patty Hearst, I remember Hazzard when he was Walter, Abdul-Jabbar when he was Louis and Wilkes when was Keith, I recall a 6ft 9 inch redhead center who quit to go drive a taxi for a year before returning to the Celtics the next year, heck I can recollect when Panama born Rolando Blackman was the only non-US born player in the league, I remember a stale old fart lighting up a victory cigar in a 90degree decrepit arena filled with rats and only cold running visitors showers in the 1980s!!!!!
