you realize you just basically said whats so special about scoring 60 points... 60 points in the nba isnt easy, on top of that he had a near triple double... i dont care who thats on, thats impressive

Ah no, not what I meant at all!!
I meant to say, Kobe is an all-world defender who wasn't 100%.
Gilbert scoring 60 points is one of the most impressive feats achieved last season, I simply stated that Kobe wasn't healthy so scoring 60 points on Kobe with one leg isn't nearly as impressive as scoring 60 against a healthy Kobe.

I need to choose my words more careful next time, sorry!!

Very misleading since PArker was the one guarding him the "most" that game.

Yes but Kobe guarded him in the 4th and OT.

When Kobe was in major foul trouble with 5 at that point in the game. He had to back off or he would have fouled out if he was called for another.

So Kobe was on 1 leg, had 5 fouls to boot, and only picked up Gil halfway in the 4th. Context is everything.

Great game by Arenas, but sorry that's not sh..1tting on him.

Wait, Kobe had 5 fouls before he even started guarding Arenas? I doubt that. I think Arenas drew 2-3 fouls on him pretty quickly.

You are right, my bad. Kobe picked up his 5th foul at the 4:05 mark in overtime.

Also this could have been much more epic of a "duel" if Kobe would have attempted more than 1 shot in the entire first quarter.

The 4th was pretty epic..it was OT that was a dud as far as Laker fans went. Kobe ran outta gas, happens to the best of us. It's not a slight on Kobe to admit that he got owned when the game counted most. Gilbo was playing on a diff level that day and basically did to Kobe what Kobe's done to countless others many times.

Nope. Sizzle was right, it was 16 actual points on Kobe. You could even subtract two of those, considering one play was on a back door cut.

Either way, incredible performance from Agent Zero.

I can promise you that it was at least 21 points. I'll find the video that shows this (made baskets plus fouls drawn after he beats Kobe).

Watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_HExPQQ9kU

20 points including the FT's they don't show but which he earned, all in the second half. And that's not including the first half basket where Kobe is the closest defender because it's not clear that they were matched up. I have to look for the other video where I think they showed other plays from the second half as well (drawn fouls against Kobe).

Kobe must be one of the best non-healthy players ever. 45/10 and 8.

Kobe was healthy by mid-late December, I would say.

It happened on Dec 17..you could even tell by his movements that he wasnt close to 100 percent..He was still good enough to use his jab fakes and skill to get buckets but he was not even sliding on defense..He was anticipating and hopping because he knee wasnt healthy..Kobe wasnt 100% for much of the season...You could see it in his movements on defense and in his in ability to finiah oops and dunks and plays at the rim
