Default Lakers Championship Offseason

First of all, we need to trade Nash, Blake, Duhon, and Metta this offseason. In addition, we need to let go of Jamison and Ebanks, amnesty Pau to free up money to get Iguodala and who else? Trevor Ariza?Eric Bledsoe? Josh Smith? Al Jefferson? (we are gonna lose Dwight after all) Jeff Teague? Gerald Henderson?(insurance for Kobe). J.J. Hickson? Kyle Korver?

There are some good players out there that we can get despite the fact that we will likely lose D12.

Who would be you guys dream acquisitions for this summer?

So.....you are saying that we win a championship with a starting lineup of;
Kobe, Josh smith, Al Jefferson, Eric Bledsoe, Igoudala........with nitwit Pringles coaching???? Uh...... Not possible anyway.

Agreed.

It would work with a Kobe of a few seasons ago. Thats not the case.

Al Jefferson also needs to shoot 20 shots on 45% shooting to get 20 points. Thats not a big man ANY championship team wants, or needs.

I can definitely see Phil Jackson bringing out the best of Iggy and Bledsoe and leading them deep into the playoffs. But we don't have Phil and we will never have him again. As soon as Gregg Poppovich, the idea of slow systems winning championships will forever be gone. We will need superstars.

Lakerfreak, half court offenses with solid defenses will ALWAYS be able to win championships. You simply need a highly intelligent coach, disciplined players to stick to the plan, a reasonable amount of talent, and ownership who is more concerned with winning than flashiness of style of play. Give me precision over flash any day......not saying you can't run when the opportunity is there.
When it comes down to the end of the game, it is ALWAYS about halfcourt offense.

It looking more likely that we could end up with: Bledsoe, Bryant, Iggy, Clark, B. Griffin

Could be a great defensive team.

This is a pretty funny thread. I don't see Iguodala coming to LA. Even if it were possible I don't see him as a good fit. Also, going after Ariza doesn't make much sense. The guy has hit his ceiling. I like him but there's a reason all these teams have found him to be expendible. One of Washington's biggest weaknesses this year was SF.....
