    Default NBA 2k11: Jordan Challenge

Is anyone else having difficulty in these jordan challenges. The only one I completed is the shootout with Dominique. I only scored 54 on the '86 Celtics. I scored 35 points & made 6 three pointers vs the Blazers in '92, but failed to contain Drexler under 20 points.

I've done the first two, haven't tried the Nique one yet. Got both of the first two on the first try.

I did the one where you have to score 47 on the Pistons....I figured it would be the easiest since there were no FG % requirements.

As a Bulls fan this Jordan mode is just impeccable.

I won't be touching another game for awhile.

did the first three on the first try.
    they're challenging, but set goals.
If you need 69pts. (just think 70) half of 70 is 35. Half of 35 is 17.
You need 17 points a quarter. try to have 3 assists by the half.
If you drop 22 points in the first quarter then your already ahead of schedule.
re-assess at the end of quarters and know how many points you need.
you got it bro . .

gonna try at least another three today.

Alright, here's my cop-out. I haven't changed the default difficulty since I bought the game. I'm assuming it's either on rookie or pro. Therefore, I've accomplished the first two challenges. My first feeling is, shouldn't I feel empty for beating this stuff on such an easy level? But somehow, it's just too freaking fun dominating with MJ, easy difficulty or not. An absolute blast.

I haven't tried to replay the ones I've already completed but I assume that you can (at least in exhibition). I plan on going back through them on a higher difficulty after I finish them the first time.

That's what I figured, and usually that's a notch below what I usually prefer, but again, too fun just steamrolling with MJ.

yeah. Pro is as high as I go for now.
I'm still new and it's really a perfect setting for me at this point.

I failed 2 so far. Nique is a ball hog. Anyone noticed that or was it just me he was lookin to score each and every time he touched it? Crazy. There is also one where you gotta avg a certain amount of pts ast rb for a series? My buddy was telling me about it. I didnt scroll down to all 10. So much to do with 2k11. I havent played online, did Team Up or started a My Player yet. Heck not even an Association season.

I really wanna unlock all 10 challenges to get that MJ My Player mode!!! He's coming to Philly baby!

Ha, yeah, one Jordan Challenge takes place over the entire 1991 NBA Finals against Los Angeles. Here's the task (good luck):

When: June 2 thru June 12, 1991 vs. Lakers
    Goal 1: Average 31.0+ points
Goal 2: Shoot 55%+ from the field
    Goal 3: Average 11+ assists
    Goal 4: Win the series

You gotta put the setting on rookie. Geeze!

I like the difficulty on All Star so this challenge will be a challenge indeed.

    what setting is medium?

    like easy, medium, and hard.

I want to be at medium. That's why I don't adjust it from the get go.
Just like shooter games. Default is medium on most things right.
Only reason I would move it up to hard would be if I were the bomb and it was like childs play and boring. But it's not normally on the setting it comes with. .

question for you guys.. for the most part does everybody here always move your settings up when you get a game.
(that could be a thread title I guess)

That's going to be hard as hell to get done, which speaks for how truly great Jordan was, because he actually did it in real life. 31 ppg, 55% FG, and 11+ apg is just sick.

I finally attempted my first one and completed it with ease. I'm a 2K vet, but after reading first impressions and thoughts on the game on various sites, I was afraid if I jumped right in playing on All-Star I would have a very tough time completing any of the Jordan Challenges, especially with 8 minute quarters. I did the Pistons one 1st (47+ points, 4+ assists) and completed with with ease.

    Jordan's line: 31/45, 70 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 4 steals

I got in a ridiculous groove with MJ in the fourth quarter and went off for 28 fourth quarter points and beat the Pistons soundly, 103-77. I didn't expect my first game on Pro to be that easy. Now I know better.
