Glad you at least didn't attempt to justify the 8 points. There's hope, albeit a sliver.

Bosh averaged 18.5 and Lebron 17.8 with Bosh taking 2 more shots over the series. The difference was fairly negligible but the point is, if Lebron was
determined the 2nd option per your Aesop's fable, that wasn't reflected either in their scoring averages or their shot attempts. And at a point, if there was a decision to 'make Lebron 2nd option' and this reversed the way the series was trending, there was nothing stopping Lebron from undoing this 'strategy' and taking on a more aggressive position. We saw that in 2007 against Detroit. We saw it in 2008 game 7 against Boston. So let's not act like he didn't have a switch he couldn't flick purely out of survival. He's frankly too good and deserves better than silly little fairy-tales being concocted for him by people who can't simply accept that he failed in 2011. In fact, if Eric Spoelstra orchestrated such a move he should have been fired after the finals.

Lebron was 27 coming into his peak. Wade being older and not quite as good at that stage made it an obvious move. Furthermore, Wade and Lebron's styles were pretty redundant, both were mostly effective on the ball and the team offense had to revolve around the 'my turn, your turn' offense that eventually did them in against Dallas. So the ball was put in Lebron's hands, and Wade played off that. But let's not be silly and act like the Heat couldn't have won in 2011 if Lebron didn't 'defer' to second option or whatever narrative you want to run with. Lebron, historically, is a better player than Wade, so there's no reason for you to concoct bullshit stories for why he failed in 2011.

Why did Wade take 5.6 more FGA per game in the Finals compared to the previous playoff round?

Some people didn't know this so here it goes:

2011 ECF
LeBron: 18.8 FGA, 25.8 ppg on 45%
Wade: 15.8 FGA, 18.8 ppg on 40%

LeBron took 3 more FGA per game than Wade

2011 Finals
LeBron: 15.0 FGA, 17.8 ppg on 48%
Wade: 18.0 FGA, 26.5 ppg on 55%
Wade took 3 more FGA per game than LeBron

Recap

Leading up to the Finals, LeBron had taken more FGA in the ECSF and the ECF by an average of 2.6 shots per game; however, in the Finals Wade turned this around into Wade-ball by shooting 3 more than LeBron, for a net difference of 5.6 FGA per game (From +2.6 to -3.0).

Did Wade sabotage LeBron James in 2011?

Did Wade sabotage LeBron James in 2011?

The Heat were up 2-1, with Wade being the leading scorer through game 4. Lebron goes on to score 8 points in a game they lose by 3 with Wade scoring 32 and Bosh 24.

So I ask....

Did Lebron sabotage Dwyane Wade's FMVP chances in 2011?

By the way, I like Lebron. He deserves better than lame asses like you defending him with simpleton arguments.

Wade couldn't win a playoff series from 2007-2010.

LeBron joins him and he goes to 4 straight finals and wins 2 championships.

LeBron leaves and Wade fails to make the playoffs the year after

Phoenix explain

Stockton in 97 (15.0)
Hornacek in 98 (10.7)
