FG% measures ability to take and make shots from the field. Lebron has a higher FG% than JJ Redick because he can get better shots (and make the tougher, worse shots) because of his basketball IQ and physical abilities.

Shooting splits from areas on the court are better. I do think that Kyrie is a better shooter than AI, but it's not in-your-face obvious. A rule of thumb for testing shooting ability is free throw shooting (in which Irving beats AI), but this can be inaccurate; Jason Kidd and Ricky Rubio have had solid FT% throughout their careers, but haven't been as good shooters as those percentages would imply.

He isn't a better a finisher at the rim or shooter. Just admit you haven't seen Irving play.

Who is currently playing? I'd say Westbrook or Rose have a better shot in a one on one situation than Kyrie would.

I agree with ur point, but in this case both are pg's and both take the same types of shots. So fg% is an accurate measure when comparing these two. Whereas with Lebron and Redick, you wouldn't compare them as shooters because of the types of shots they normally shoot, redick is a three point shooter so naturally his % is going to be lower than Lebron's; who is a post up/freight train to the basket type player, even though the King is averaging around 40% this year.

Both of those guys pale in comparison to Kyrie's mid range game. Westbrick and DRose are open court fast break finishers, their game would be nuetralized by the half court game.

AI would take like 25 shots a night, because that's what was expected from him. Obviously a bunch of those are terrible shots. And, AI played in a different NBA, where I'd say teams relied more on their star player.

Kyrie is in his second season and people are seriously trying to say he would beat one of the greatest iso/scorers of all time. LOL

I'm not even a huge AI fan, nor a Kyrie hater - I hope the guy becomes a great, but LOL. A little premature.

You don't win an MVP by being just an open court player.

You're going to have to remove Kyries nuts from your mouth before I take any of your nonsense serious.

Kyrie is getting overrated way too fast on this board. By this time next year, he'll be above Michael Jordan.

After Iverson gets the ball, the game is over.

No one is guarding him.

Wall has Nene and decent role players in Okafor/Ariza. Who does Irving have? The best players in Cleveland are 2nd year Thompson and 2 rookies.

Washington with Wall actually was thought to be in contention for the 8th seed. Nobody expected the cavs to do anything this year other than get another high lottery pick.
