Default All-Star Weekend 2007

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I am a Nuggets fan, have been for about 3-4 seasons.

Anyway just wanted to talk about the NBA All-Star weekend 2007, especially the All-Star game. I think that if Boozer is still injured for the ASG then Melo should be the first person to be invited to play, posted his first triple-double of his career against the second best team in the league a few nights ago. About the Sprite Rising Stars Dunk Contest, I think it will not be as exciting as previous years, 2005 JR Smith's behind the back dunk and Josh Smith's leap over Kenyon Martin. 2006 with Iguodala's off the glass and under the backboard dunk, and Nate's leap over Spud. I think the Skills Challenge will be fun to watch with big names in it this year, Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. As for the Rookie Vs Sophmore Game, that is always a great game to watch the Rookies play good basketball.

Anyway post your thoughts and opinions, and look forward to watching the AS weekend.

Welcome to ISH, if you need any questions answered feel free to ask.

I reckon this All-Star weekend will actually be great. With Boozer out, im pretty sure Melo should get a spot. However i think Joe Johnson definitely deserves a spot, its a shame how so many people over look his talent because the Hawks keep losing.
Dunk contest i actually think will be a blast, im guessing the favorite is Gerald Green but being an Orlando fan i would love for Dwight Howard to prove so many people wrong by winning the comp.. All i can do is hope.
Skills challenge should be exciting to watch too, but i think that Chris Paul should've gotten a spot again this year, if he was in this year im pretty sure he would win.
Rookie and Sophomore game will be funny, because im pretty sure the Sophomores are going to slaughter the Rookies

But with the Boozer being out incident, it will have to be a Western Conference player to replace him, and Joe Johnson is Eastern, so it will be either Carmelo or Josh Howard
