07 (I know he didn't win it, but it was the year they deserved it most) and then 05 hes basically equal to Shaq, maybe a bit worse.

I am just telling facts.

Steve Nash, LeBron and Dirk were the top 3 MVP Candidates in the 2006 NBA Season.

Nash and LeBron were The Sporting News Co-MVP's.

1. Colorado case really hurt his image

2. Steve Nash is White.....I hate to go "THERE" but let's be real....the writers are the ones who vote for MVP.......probably 90+ % white and never played serious ball.
this entire post is why everyone hates our franchise!!!!

2005-2006 35.4 ppg and Kobe led a team that consist of..........

Smush Parker
Kwame Brown
Slava Med-whatever
Brian Cook
Devean George
Sasha Vujacic

to 45 wins and the only decent player was Odom*who's only capable of being the 3rd best player in a team*but still only avg ppg 14.8 alongside Kobe with these scrubs.

Kobe carried their asses to the playoffs and were up 3-1 on Phoenix. I forgot which game it was, all they had to do was grab a rebound to move on to round 2.
This is the same year Kobe went off for the famous 81, 56 30+ppg, 26 of them were 40+ppg and to lazy to count the amounts of the 50 ppg.
Overall I still think this should of been Kobe's first MVP award o well, it's the RINGS that count right.

Odom also led the team with 9.3 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game and he shot 37.2% on 3's and he made 80 total while shooting 48.1% from the field. Lamar's value goes beyond stats as well. As a 6'10" forward he was really the team's point guard or "point forward" handling the ball and running the offense.

Smush Parker wasn't that bad back then either. In fact a lot of people thought he was a great pickup considering he was unknown. He averaged 11.5 ppg, nearly 4 assists(pretty impressive for a guard in the triangle offense), he averaged 1.7 steals and he made 120 three's that season.

Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm combined to give them solid production at the center positon. kwame provided good post defense and rebounding while Mihm gave them another double digit scorer who get them points in the low post, rebound and block shots.

That team wasn't nearly as bad as Kobe fans pretend they were, in fact they had pretty good chemistry too.

Nash deserved both of his MVP awards.

But, don't compare him to other all time greats. He had a very short prime which leds to those MVP awards.

That was a bottom three team in the entire league if you take Kobe away.

Smush Parker has never been good enough to start in the NBA, Mimh and Brown were far from a solid combo at the pivot. And the bench is mostly out of the league now.

You know that none of them were anygood because none of them were kept around.

Mihm had injury problems which ended his career as an effective center and Kwame Brown also had a lot of injuries/confidence problems. That team wasn't that bad. gasol's supporting cast in Memphis that year was comparable and they won 49 games.
