Once AD returns, Lebron goes back to being the 2nd option so that's not happening. Lebron has already missed 12 games as well so he'll likely end up playing around 65 if he avoids any serious injury so that's not a strong argument for MVP. Giannis is the likely winner this season and then you can make better arguments for guys like Curry, Embiid, DeRozan, CP3, Morant, Luka etc.. Lebron is not even top 5 in the MVP race right now and he's played his best statistical stretch of basketball since 2020 I believe so he's not going to be in anyone's MVP race based on how much his team has struggled and how they haven't been able to stay above .500 while playing the weakest schedule in the league.. If the Lakers turn it around this season, it's only because AD comes in and plays like his 2020 self and turns this defense around.
