No Nash or Hill, yet Suns beat Clippers
The Arizona Republic reports:
The Suns continued to put the madness in their March with their seventh double-digit deficit comeback for a win this month. They held out Nash and Hill because they have to play their third game in three nights Friday at home against Detroit. Now it is a chance for the Suns (21-22) to pull to .500 for the first time since they were 4-4 after moving to within a half-game of ninth-place Minnesota with the Thursday night shocker.
"That was the most fun I've had all year," said Nash, who rushed the court with his teammates for one of the more-jubilant victory celebrations of the season.
The Suns, 11-25 without Nash since 2004, have made a habit of these comebacks but had not done it on the road until Thursday night. They spent all night trying to recover from a 25-12 hole and trailed by 12 with less than 10 minutes to go.
The Suns crumbled without Nash and Hill for a 109-92 loss at Denver on Feb. 15 but proved more resilient than the team that was amid a four-game losing streak. Since that skid, the Suns are 9-3.
