If you have a Staples in your area, call or go by and see if they have any. Even if they still show full price on the shelves, they will ring up at or approximately as follows:
16gb 5th gen Nano- 78$, 8gb Nano- 98$ (no idea why), 32gb Touch (108), 16gb Touch (98)
If they do have them, go on ebay or onlinecouponshop.com and buy a 25$ off 75$ printable coupon, enjoy.
My local staples has about 10 left, all 16gb Nanos, they have the cardboard thing so you can't steal them and they have to go to the back, but when I got to the register the asshole manager claimed they were out and took the cardboard thingy like he was going to put it somewhere other than back on the shelf. I told him there was like 9 or 10 more, he just nodded. I guaran-****in-tee he's hoarding them for himself.
But yea, if you're lucky go to your's and you might score one.
They are just getting rid of the 5th gens. Here's a pic someone took for those non believing. It was my plan too, I bought 2 different 25$ off 75$ coupons, get there at like 8:54 all happy and grab my iPod and like I said, dude totally shot me down. I'm going to go back tommorow morning. I bet they have them, otherwise they wouldn't have that many cardboard-take-to-register thingies on the shelf. 1 or 2 off from actually inventory is easily believable, but 10? I doubt it.
And reference reselling, the "it" item, ala Tickle Me Elmo of xmas past, for this xmas season you need to be stocking up on if you can find them, Sing A Ma Jigs.
Thanks. I might buy 100 of them and start an eBay business. Who knows.
that will make you bank, but these staples ipods might be a scam, only being advertised to get more people to come to staples then they don't actually have ipods to sell, like the OP said. OP might even work for staples. this mystery must be solved
Oh for sure, I'm not going to just drive to all these Staples willy nilly. I've got the Staples.com tab open ready for 10am when they all open. I'm calling each one before-hand to make sure I'm not wasting my time.
My buddy does the same thing for iPhones. He scours the internet for deals and then re-sells for a big profit. I'm pretty sure he's selling 2-3 a week still. When the 4th version came out he was selling double digits a week.
