USC, ASU, Oregon and Cal are all far from being locks into the tourney, if anything, only two of those will make it alongside the Pac-10's finest[UCLA, UofA, Wazzou & Stanford]

This is the one year where the Pac 10 will get a team that isn't above .500 in the conference.

UofA is 16-9 right? in danger of not making it? and they are considered finest?

Why not? They are tied for the 4th seed with ASU and USC, but have a better non-conference schedule, including victories over the Aggies[9 at the time], losing by 4 to Kansas[4 at the time], losing by 13 to the #2 Memphis squad and they have no bad losses. Yeah, USC beat #19 Southern Illinois and also played Memphis and Kansas, but they lost by 15 at home to MERCER, who is 11-15 right now. ASU has a 22 point win over Xavier when they were 17, but lost by 23 @ Illi and 25 at Nebraska.

Let's not forget Zona had to adjust playing under a new coach and missed Bayless for 4 games. Come Pac-10 tournament time, Bayless|Budinger|Hill will help the 'Cats make the finals and I won't be surprised if they take it.

I don't get how someone would put ASU or USC ahead of UofA, just don't.

Arizona isn't the finest of the Pac 10, sure they had a great non-conference schedule but in conference they have yet to do much but beat who they are supposed to beat. Swept by Stanford and ASU, they did have the win vs WSU but that was at home and a poor performance from Low.

All Arizona has to do is win 2 more games. Most likely they win 3 or 4 though before the pac-10 tourney.

They have the number 1 sos and a top 15 rpi. That is a LOCK.

the rpi and sos are great numbers but you have to win the games. They only have 1 lock win and that is Oregon State. After that it is a toss up, Washington's on the road, LA schools at home both are tough opponets, and then at Mac Court which is a tough game.

I really think the Big Ten could really be the spoiler conference this year. They have very promising teams and even though somewhat unpredictable, are very dangerous. I personally think that Michigan State is going to be the team left standing in the end and hopefully make it all the way to San Antonio.
