thanks for the math lesson but I'll pass. I keep it simple and watch alot of bball, I recommend it.
That is the case here.
First of all Ebanks attempted 9 3 pointers in the regular season. As someone who watches the games, you should know that. He made 0 of those attempts. Now, that makes his percentage zero. Not no attempts. (see http://www.basketball-reference.com/...ebankde01.html)
Furthermore, Ebanks had a total of 89 FGA with 37 made. Metta had 465 FGA with 183 made. So Peace shot 5 times more than Ebanks. Does that count as WAY more to you?

Metta in 39% Ebanks 41% almost identical when combining for the total averages. thanks for proving my point, which is they all shoot like crap.

Bynum/Kobe doesn't pass unless there is a double team and sometimes they shoot over double teams. It will be difficult for a shooter to come off the bench, play 20 minutes and knock down every open shot. Even they need to get their rhythm going and must be spoon fed by a PG in their spots! Unfortunately this isn't happening with the current Lakers. Kobe must either look for his open teammates(if he intends to make his teammates better) or let Sessions run the show for 3 quarters.
You put someone like Randy Foye on the Lakers, his shooting percentage will drop !

good point. I've run this analysis on wether role players underachieve playing for the lakers by ball movement/system circumstances and what I find today is that the pressure for playing for the Lakers is just too much, because they miss the easy sh1t.

So why were better players like Brown and Ariza and Artest and Odom and Vujacic able to play and deliver and win championships and hit open shots? But now that you are playing atrocious scrubs and they are missing like atrocious scrubs tend to do its the ball movement?

Ever heard of Phil Jackson and the triangle system bud? We were talking about this year here where every role player on the Lakers team are probably shooting their career worst!

Because steve blake and barnes weren't shooting like this last year? We hated them all year long for being gigantic scrubs , LAST year. This year in offseason our pickups were TROY MURPHY who was DEAD last year and kapono who i dont even know if hes in the nba now and i dont know if he was in the nba last year either.
They are shooting their career worst because they are older than they have ever been. lakers strategy was trying to find james posey type players but instead they found pieces of poop

The correct method shows that the shooting percentage of those players combined gives 41.5%. (which doesn't makes self from the beggining because you are combining playoffs with regular season) You got 39% that is a big deal. So that is a big deal. Why does that happen, because of the difference in the amount players shot. For example, Barnes (45.2%) shot a 119 more attempts and made 74 more than Blake (37.7%).
That's it. If you want to think that they are shooting worse than they are that is fine. And if you think playoff numbers are significant, they are not because there is not enough sample size.
And you think that they are just missing it shots plain and simple? Then you clearly don't watch the games or do not understand it. Many of the misses that Blake and Sessions have are due to broken plays or the shot clock winding down.
