How does this trade sound?

Yi, Dan Gadzuric to Golden State
for Brandon Wright, Sarunas Jasikevicius
and Patrick O'Bryant

Bucks line up (assuming we sign Desmond Mason)

Pg - M.Williams, S.Jasikevicius, L.Greer
Sg - M.Redd, D.Noel
Sf - B.Simmons, D.Mason
Pf - C.Villanueva, B.Rright, D. Markota
C - A. Bogut, P.O'Bryant, J.Koskuhl

Warriors line up

Pg - B.Davis, M.Ellis
Sg - S.Jackson, M.Bellinelli
Sf - M.Pietrus, Y.Jillian, K.Azubuike
Pf - A.Harrington, M.Barnes
C - A.Biedrins, D.Gadzuric, A.Foyle

I wouldn't do that. Wright is going to be just as good, if not better than Yi. I would be skeptical to trade Wright for Yi straight up.

No way would I add in O'Bryant in the deal

I agree but I think Golden State thinks they would make a lot of $$$ via the Bay area Asian-American population. I don't necessarily agree but that's the biggest reason people talk about Yi in GS. I mean, it's not like their fans hate them and they need to bring in a lot more, but I also think that they want to add a marketable player now that JRich is in Charlotte.

sounds good... but Harrington and Yi are pretty much similar players... i doubt Warriors will want that...

Trust me the Warriors want that. By all accounts, Nellie and Mullin love Yi.

As far as marketable players go, Yi would be huge for the team and the area. I saw team USA play a exhibition game vs. Team China the summer before Yao came into the league in Oakland and the place was packed to the rafters. The Ws will sell tickets anyhow but the merchandising would be huge if Yi were on the team. Still, even without JR, the team still has Baron, whom the Bay Area loves. So they aren't exactly bereft of marketable players right now.
