Default Anyone good with Economics please help...

I'm doing a take home exam for Econ of Sports and i need help with one question. here it is:

Develop a salary equation for professional soccer goalkeepers that could be estimated using regression analysis. Explain your choices for the dependent and independent variables. Develop a hypothesis for each independent variable and the reasoning behind the hypothesis.

    Thanks for the help!

dude wtf? if you can't handle the mental load, drop the class.

also, you know there's google right?

a simple salary equation for soccer goalkeepers can be something that ties in their goalkeeping record with their salary. variables that you may use are:

    played games
    number of saved goals
    number of clean sheets

if you want more complexity, you can add

crucial saves - saves that resulted in win
    vs
allowed goals resulting in a loss

if you want even more complexity, you can develop a complex variable like percentage of successful goalkeeping in one on situations, win shares, errors made, etc.

I dont know what regression analysis is but here are some variables:

Clean sheets - the keeper has the most to do with this
Man of the match awards - it shows he kept the team in the game to the best of his ability
End of season position - team thing but the keeper is an important player
    Trophies - see above
