Default Rick Barry Appreciation thread [What can he do in Todays League]

Very Underrated player. Underrated because he was a complete and insufferable douche to everyone and was super racist.

Still a top 5 SF all time in my opinion.

Literally dragged scrubs to a championship.

His advanced stats aren't eye popping but, he dragged scrubs his entire career. I imagine that his advanced stats and TS% would look much better with 3pter's and with not shit teammates.

What do you guys think.

Alpha of him to shoot free throws underhanded knowing everyone would think it was sissy.

Imagine if Bran manned up and tried it? He might actually be a decent option at the end of games. Instead, Kyrie has to take control.

95% of threads here get derailed with Bran/Kobe/MJ references.

It does take some creativity and effort to endlessly find ways of referring back to them somehow.

Time travel really needs to be invented.

Imagine running this starting lineup out there against the Warriors or Cavs:

PG Oscar
SG West
SF Barry
PF Gus Johnson
C 67 Wilt

That would be some shit.

Also because he played the latter half of his career, including a lot of his prime, in a weak era. Definitely an all time great, but would he have been able to carry his team like that in the late 60's or early 80s?

It's easier for Kyrie to take control because he doesn't deal with all the back handed comments that lebron has to deal with in the locker room while living a life of drama.

Kryie's teammates view him as an alpha, a man who came into his own. Lebron be on that: born here, plays here, lose here, leave here, lose 50% of the time there, come back here, lose here, win here, here I am now 3/7 type drama queen shit.
