yay. we signed ANOTHER player that is 30+ years old.
can someone please explain to me what the Mavs are trying to do?
If it is to compete for one of the oldest rosters, I think we might be in the running.

The goal is to try and win right NOW (in Dirk's prime).

The roster will not be occupied by a lot of developmental players this season, thus we are bringing in experienced guys who can contribute immediately. I'm not crazy about Thomas, but if he is just a deep bench 3-point specialist, then it's not really worth getting all worked up about.

I understand that to a certain extent, but the whole damn team doesn't need to be 10 year veterans for us to be good. it can't hurt to have some youth at the end of the bench.
don't understand the Tim Thomas thing at all.
we're becoming overloaded with Forwards. I just think if anything, Dallas should be looking for SG or C.
if you look at our roster right now, it's just a jumbled mess.
22 players listed on roster, 3 of them are FA that are as good as gone (Green, Hollins, Singleton).

don't know, maybe they have got some more trades in the works, but right now, this roster just has me confused and worried.

I also like having young guys on the bench ready to provide athleticism and energy. But the front office, based on our window of oppurtunity, feels more comfortable giving roster spots to proven guys, not projects like Gerald Green.

Our roster is very bloated with 16 players currently under contract, plus we still have Singleton and Hollins as restricted free agents to figure out. Buckner's contract will be moved at some point, and some of the guys like Humphries, Jawai, Williams and Carroll could be shopped as well. It will all get sorted out eventually.
